Day 4 10/23
Traveling through Colorado plains today, heading into the mountains. They are dusted with snow!! Ski season is coming!Had our first real Mexican lunch in Silverthorne then on to Pass Copper, Vail, and Beaver Creek!! The mountain passes beyond those were even more spectacular. Followed the Colorado River and camped right on the River!! Too bad it rained just as we were about to light campfire. Still gorgeous! The trains follow the river on opposite side. They were so so long, mostly carrying coal. Can't imagine how much they weigh. Quite the sound!!!!
