Day 34 11/22 homeward bound !!

On our way home now. Doubt there will be much more to post.

It's been fun to have you all travel along with us. I may add to it when I am home with service and time.

Day 33 11/20 Visit with Charlie and Yvonne!!

woke early so we could get to our friends for lunch. such a beautiful sunrise!!

It was really chilly. The river was still warm. Never saw such cool steam coming off river like this!!!

 

On to Charlie and Yvonnes!

We had such a WONDERFUL visit!!! 3 wonderful meals together and many stories. I wish they were still our neighbors!!

 

Day 32 11/19 driving home continued

 Not much to share.....just miles of road

Crossed the Mississippi into Tennessee!!! Getting closer to visit our dear old neighbors and dear friends Charlie and Yvonne!!!!

Day 31 11/18 starting the drive home

                                    Cool cotton fields in the midwest!

we stopped in this tiny town Hydro Oklohoma. big wide streets with parking LITERALLY in the MIDDLE of the road. It was a hoot. We bought special steak to grill for dinner. Everyone was so midwestern friendly!!!

We stayed at this small campground in farm country. it was great . The bathrooms were very clean but so farmy funny. cement shower floor with galvanized walls, etc Just had to take a picture

2nd best steak on trip. The Utah one was probably best steak EVER! and I'm not really a steak person.

day 30 11/17 Last day in Bandelier

 A very busy day. did 3 amazing hikes and I got lost  solo on the third hike!!! All trails saved me!! these pics somehow downloaded backwards again...... Just go to the bottom and work up.........

On the  way out we did this trail on the outskirts of Bandelier...... LOL i lost the trail and Jer had wait nervously for me....thank god for cell phones and "all trails"

80 foot falls ... so cool!

then we did the hike to the falls!!

this grass is all over the southwest. they call it "eyebrow grass"

Day 29 11/16 Bandelier National Monument

 

Bandelier was so fascinating. we climbed up into caves and saw so much how they lived.

flashback to my desert days a Cholla cacti!!!!

 theyuncovered ancient wall paintings.... Jerry wondered if they used egg tempera!!! LOL

climbing up to some ofthe caves were a bit challenging!!!!!!
